China: ICCSL Opens Office in Beijing in Partnership with CPRI
On June 11, 2014, the International Center for Charity Sector Law (ICCSL) opened its China office in connection with its partner China Philanthropy Research Institute (CPRI). Dean Wang Zhenyao of CPRI spoke of the felicitous arrangement, calling Karla Simon, co-founder of ICCSL “the greatest friend to the charity sector in China for many years.” The office will be staffed full-time for the next two months by ICCSL intern, Amy Fisher, a rising junior at Union College. Karla Simon will frequently be in residence over the course of the next few months, as she transits in and out of China to work on various projects. One of these is a Asia Foundation funded project on the Charity Law.
